    Description - Deciduous, erect. Short-creeping. This broad leafed Native fern is a great spreading fern, forming a dense groundcover. It can be found in the wild in moist, ditches, marshes, and swamps, both in shade and full sun. The fertile fronds bearing spores are very woody with beaded stems. Known as Sensitive because it is to the first frost. Very hardy , easy, & good-looking.
