Common Name - Interrupted Fern

    Botanical Name - Osmunda claytoniana

    Height - 24-48 inches

    Description - Deciduous, erect, crown. Another majestic fern , often mistaken for the Cinnamon Fern, but it bears it's spores in the middle of the frond with leaflets above & below, thus giving it the “interrupted” name. Prefers moist, acid loving, but not swampy site like the cinnamon. Beautiful pale green fronds in part shady site.
